170 players made it through out of the 259 players who commenced day 1 of the UKIPT. The victorious players of Day 2 are battling for the grand prize of €125,000. The prize pool had grown to a huge €471,400 at the close of registration at 7pm on December 11. Players from over 22 different countries have travelled all the way to Galway to try their luck and are playing in the hopes of moving on to the forthcoming legs of the tour.
The heat is on as the tournaments continue and as players slowly make their way up the ladder. The present chip leader is Gavin O Rourke who is from the home team Ireland and he leads with 104,000. Taking second place is PokerStars (a top online poker casino site) Qualifier Christopher Brammer from UK with 81,975.
55 PokerStars Qualifiers have moved forward in the game. The UKIPT is set to take the poker world to great heights with upcoming gambling action. The tour will move from Galway to Killarney and later to Dublin and the lucky players who win each leg will be awarded free entry to the London EPT which will act as the UKIPT Championship event.
Only time will tell who will take home the pride, glory and the big prize money at the end of the event.
